Bail is the conditional freedom granted by the court or police (in Tanzania) which do come to action on bases of presumption of innocence.

for bail to be granted the granter has to look on nature and seriousness of the offence, previous record of the accused person, the character of the accused person and the evidence (the likelihood of the accused to temper with the evidence on his/her release.

for bail to be granted, there shall be the sureties, pay bail money, surrender the IDs/ passport and report to police/ court regularly.

since the bail is conditional release, bail can be cancelled when the accused person breached bail conditions, commit other offences, and interference with justice/ temper with evidence
